Following a departure from Denton & South Heighton JFC, the U13, U14 & U15 have become a part of the Seaford Town FC family.

The club is delighted to announce the welcoming of three fantastic youth teams. Following a departure from Denton & South Heighton JFC, the U13, U14 & U15 have become a part of the Seaford Town FC family.

It is a privilege to have been approached by the managers of these teams who have a desire to offer their players a pathway into senior football.

Jason Novis and his team joins us along with his Assistant Coach, Mark Sweeting.
Jason is a Level 3 FA Football Coach, and Level 1 Futsal Coach, and has been coaching children in the Newhaven, Peacehaven and Seaford area for almost 20 years.

Jason has also completed his Level 1 Talent ID Award and Level 1 in Opposition Analysis, in addition to the Coerver Youth Diploma which he completed at Fulham Football Club, a skill-centric player pathway that he has been using for many years.

Mark is a Level 2 FA Football Coach who has been coaching for 8 years with valuable experience at a number of successful teams in the Sussex Sunday Youth Leagues.
“I’ve been a great admirer of the recent progress at Seaford Town FC, and am a big fan of the projects that Tom and Mike are driving forwards.

With my teams starting to think about the next chapter of their development, this was a great opportunity to be part of something exciting and provides them with the future opportunities they’re looking for”.

Jason has previously managed at STFC and has valuable experience in team and club management, along with Premier League Talent ID.

Jamie Hogben and his current under 15's (2020/21 season) have been together for eight years at Denton and will be playing in the Mid Sussex Division Two when the season starts.

Jamie is a current Level one coach and is nearing completion of the Level Two, and has coached and managed three teams in his 10 years at Denton, managing teams from U8's all the way through to the current age group and supporting two teams simultaneously on two occasions.

“In this time I have had three sons play for the club and have played a part in all of their experiences, which is both rewarding and challenging.” He brings experience of wider football matters, including holding committee positions and away from the 'day job' as a coach, plays and runs a regular 5 aside session which has been going for over 25 years as well as being a reasonable standard youth and adult player in the past.

“Our U15's team are continuing to look to build on our recent Division 5 championship (18/19) - which was an unbeaten season - and despite an injury hit season last year remain, committed to each other and are keen to learn and develop as part of the STFC family.

With an exciting opportunity to provide the boys with a goal and clear focus for their achievements, both he and the team are looking forward to the season ahead and challenging themselves within a club that is looking to enhance the development and opportunities for youth football in the local area.”

Mike Greve, Youth Chairman: “It goes without saying how exciting this is for both the club and the teams. I’ve known Jason and Jamie for a long time, they are both great coaches and great people. They bring with them stacks of experience and very talented players.

At STFC Youth our mission is for our players to love and enjoy their football, improve their game and for the older age groups to have the skills and knowledge to prepare them for the transition to senior football. STFC are able to support these new teams with a clear pathway into senior football.

Welcome to the family”

Tom Webster, Club Chairman: “To be approached by Jason & Jamie with the opportunity to welcome three talented teams and very experienced coaches is a real honour. For them to have the confidence in us to be able to provide them with a supportive home and a future, shows how far the club has come.

We’ve got some really exciting plans for our youth teams and its great to have these new teams join us for the adventure!"
